COR Auditing for Multiple Certifying Partners

The Certificate of Recognition (COR) program is an initiative that recognizes employers who implement and maintain a health and safety management system that meet established provincial standards. Companies with a health and safety management system are able to identify and assess their workplace hazards and then systematically control the risks to their employees and overall operations. The COR is an essential component of the Partners in Injury Reduction (PIR) program.

There are three major benefits associated with the COR program. First, it helps employers to create a safe work environment for their employees. Second, WH&S Alberta and WorkSafeBC offer COR-certified employers rebate cheques of 10 percent in Alberta and up to 15 percent in British Columbia. In Alberta and Saskatchewan the rebates are set at 10 percent.
